About Me
I’m Vanessa, and I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Digital Arts and Sciences, where I studied game design. I chose the program because art and video games had already been important parts of my life, and I wanted to understand how creative ideas become complete, playable experiences. I especially enjoyed learning how games are structured, documenting the thinking behind a project, and having the opportunity to develop ideas of my own.
After graduating, I realized that titles like animator or programmer felt too narrow for the kind of work I'm drawn to. Designer feels more accurate because my interests extend across visual design, interfaces, themes, planning, testing, and the organization that helps a project come together. I am thoughtful, detail-oriented, and particular about quality. I notice inconsistencies quickly and care about making sure the smaller details support the work as a whole.
Outside of design, I spend my time reading, playing games, editing photos and videos, watching shows, and researching topics that catch my interest. I am drawn to fantasy, strong visual themes, memorable environments, and stories with thoughtful worldbuilding and character development. These interests have shaped my appreciation for experiences that feel cohesive, atmospheric, and carefully considered. I am especially interested in where technology, design, and human interaction meet, and I hope to contribute to work that feels thoughtful, visually distinct, and memorable.
